Two + Years
You're exceeding the recommended time frame for having maintenance performed on your system.  Your system is probably not operating at maximum efficiency and could be operating under added strain.  Have it inspected soon.

Never
You are in danger of having your system fail during the hot summer months or in the dead of winter.  Mechanical equipment must be regularly maintained to operate at efficient levels and to perform properly.  Have it inspected today.
